I like the lumber jack with no more forest to cut down.
How much for a print,  and how big is it?
bitterthoughts's picture

sadly i sold the original so i cant make any prints :( i have alot of other lumber jack type stuff under my tumblr under the " still waiting " tab i could always paint you an original!

Do you use nibs or pens?
bitterthoughts's picture

micron 005 02 08 pens

I paint flash and I used to use .05 .08 and 1 microns but I just started using nibs... they're harder but it's worth it. I use size B5

i was an apprentice in a super traditional shop in seattle, I've used nibs when i was working on flash but once i bailed on tattooing i got back to using pens and brushes more, i do a lot more fine art these days but def. still have the " tattoo " vibe going on in some of my illustrative work.

Yeah? Traditional is definitely my thing. If you don't mind me asking, why did you bail as an apprentice?
bitterthoughts's picture

I loved apprenticing but all the guys who were teaching me left, as usual shop politics got involved, the owners were wack my homies who i was studying under all split to go to different shops, I moved to follow some stupid girl the usual stupid shit a dumb kid does. If your apprenticing or tattooing stick with it its worth it in the end i wish i would have stayed.

Yeah man, I know how that shit goes. I'm well versed in how all that works since I was engaged to an artist for a long time. I finally decided to drop out of school to pursue it on my own... which probably sounds stupid. Maybe I'll post some stuff one day.

I'm actually going to the Chicago convention next month with Rich Hadley, very excited to get tattooed by him again as well as maybe Mario Desa and some other guys.

His shit rips! So good. I have tattoos by Joshua Espenshade, Josh Adams, Rich Hadley, Lee Pound, Tom Chippendale, Jason Walstrom and Alec Benjamin Tupper (Who was my ex) I want some from the new york guys so badly, you're lucky to live in Seattle where there's so many good artists. I'm in Minneapolis, Jason Walstrom is the best here, he's doing my stomach.
