fainting goats are bred all the time and live long, normal (for the most
part) and happy lives. it showing up in anything else is pretty rare and
results in a short and painful life.
My friend had to bury a kitty some time ago. named her Lamia, she was epileptic. On meds all the time. She was so light and small she fell asleep on my head once and I didn't notice. Well, didn't make it through a year even. Had to let her go, and then we ate all of her leftover Diazepam.
