yes and no
fainting goats are bred all the time and live long, normal (for the most part) and happy lives. it showing up in anything else is pretty rare and results in a short and painful life.

My friend had to bury a kitty some time ago. named her Lamia, she was epileptic. On meds all the time. She was so light and small she fell asleep on my head once and I didn't notice. Well, didn't make it through a year even. Had to let her go, and then we ate all of her leftover Diazepam.
