I think the wiser thing to do is avoid confrontation in case of shit that does not regard you in any way, it can always backfire. It may seem a pretty cowardly thing to do, but sorry, when there are guns involved, better be an alive coward than a dead good samaritan

Exactly, especially when there are more than one persons involved. I think he wasn't able to think about "double taping" the robber inside because he was also worried about the guy outside. All three men died as a result and it could have been worst....there could have easily been more dead victims because of his actions.
