And this month the Fed will release the results of its annual stress test, in which the bank will once again be permitted to perpetuate its fiction of solvency by grossly overrating the mountains of toxic loans on its books. At this point, the rescue effort is so sweeping and elaborate that it goes far beyond simply gouging the tax dollars of millions of struggling families, many of whom have already been ripped off by the bank – it's making the government, and by extension all of us, full-blown accomplices to the fraud.

Better idea, abolish money. Then the people who are fucking folks over to get it will have no motivation and those who want to be in politics will be there because they want to be, not because they're getting paid sickening 7 figure salaries to argue all day and get nothing done.

as for "forward," well, even republican planners (from back in the day when expertise meant something on the right) have stated that obama's done right. now, the true american left is disappointed because he's engaged in the art of the politically possible (centrist or center-right) vs. something actually left of center, but this country is so brainwashed into believing that we even have a functioning left wing anything that we see "less conservative" as being "socialist." good god, obamacare is the biggest giveaway to insurance companies since medicare D, but maybe if it's struck down the shit will hit the fan so hard we'll end up with proper national health care. i have cadillac health insurance but for a lot of things i don't use it, because cash rates for non-participating physicians are lower than my co-pay under insurance "in network," and i don't wait as long. that is just all kinds of fucked.
for a free country that claims to be the shining light of the world, we sure do behave shittily to our own.
