All world leaders take into the account of Religious scripture in their decisions. It's not like you can erase Billions of people by placing them in a madhouse and then go about your life feeling comfortable when everything you base your life on doesn't even work, can't work and is not self sustaining. Medication is only making a feeble human race. Eventually a mutation is going to hit that will destroy a large part of the population. Whether it's the end of the world or not rather than just a change in Ages- that is not for me or anyone to decide. Evolutionary Theory has not found enough evidence to back up all of it's possible explanations for the development towards what is current humanity. If you choose not to study what goes on around you and end up constantly repeating yourself into failure that's on you. And is the definition to insanity. Insanity is defined by repeating oneself and expecting different results. Keep paying your rent, taxes and borrowing that money to make ends meet.
If you want to say a tribal group such as the Hopi who've survived in the Navajo Desert for Thousands of years deserves to be thrown in a madhouse I'd have to say then throw all of the world in a Madhouse. Although that will cripple your economy which is probably unsustainable anyway and you'll be responsible for another type of holocaust.
