Confuse the Liberals? What? Have you ever read the definition of Liberalism? If you're Republican, you're more than likely a liberal yourself on economic issues. Democrats tend to be liberal on social issues. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberalism
I'm not a liberal, in the political sense. I'm a libertarian, and the word liberalism as it stands today tends to denote socialist or communist sympathizer's. I know what the word is intended to mean by definition, but it is in fact the opposite in it's representation of parties it is being used by... That is made abundantly clear by their populist stance and in wanting the government to have a greater role in their everyday lives. So I understand the meaning of the word (I think most people do), but politically it tends to morph visually in contemporary politics, from the word liberal to progressive to socialist.
I also wanted to add, in politics words have meanings, when something isn't popular today in one century it is changed into something else in another. The word progressive was used extensively I believe in the early 20th century, decades later when people were dissatisfied with the party as it stood they went ahead and changed their name to something else... It is a part of politics a simple example of this is how Obama doesn't like to use the word spending but re-defines it as investing. It's all a play with words, but I know what I am, and that is all that really matters, especially since I'm not a politician : D
i see now where you got so upset about. i used an apostrophe after sympathizers. i know it's inappropriate to use it when mentioning something plural but i wrote that paragraph in a haste so excuse me for not writing in perfect english OVER THE THE INTERNET. i bet you get this angry when it comes to grammar when a liberal makes a mistake (rolls eyes); and the other part i wrote "it's representation", when it didn't need an apostrophe because it was in possessive form. ok the second one i had no idea about... so in essence you got this upset because you saw me essentially make one mistake (since it is evident i know how to write words in plural form).
i write nearly an essay and you get upset because i make ONE mistake.
let me see if i can find a picture to describe your behavior
What was your point, that defining someones entire life by the use of 1 apostrophe is justifiable? or that liberalism is in fact a word used to describe socialism/anarchist/left-leaning politics?
and i get out more often that i would like to be quite frank.
As opposed to a $1 million camera that runs on $1 billion dollar wind power and only allowed to be run by union workers with full pensions, paid for with our tax money. I'll take the personally owned, off the shelf camera and tripod.
Especially the part where they're gonna raise taxes on the middle class, not to pay down the debt, but so they can give a tax cut to the rich! Fucking awesome! Would bring tears to the founding fathers' eyes if they were alive to see it. And then they'd all stab themselves in the eyes with shards of glass before they had to see any more of it. WHOOOOOOOOOOOO CONSERVATIVE AMERICA!

The pic was more a play with the senses, not with something that doesn't necessarily relate to you (in any shape way or form)
