I don't really care who wins.  I just love fucking with the ignorant people who voted that fucking loser into office thinking he would be the most wonderful thing since sliced bread.  A huge ego and a big mistake are the common attributes of the Liberals of the last election.  They would have been better off running HC.  She at least knows how to get things done.  But they couldn't nominate her.  That would have made them racists. Always better to be a dumbass.

No, the alternative is not really better or worse.  Picking the alternative demonstrates that we are tired of the same bullshit.  We need to continue to vote out incumbents until we actually get enough people in with enough brain mass and an ego small enough to right this ship.

The trouble is, waiting for the best people will never work, mainly because those with the right attitude, smarts and drive to do it are smart enough to stay away from it, that just leaves the ego maniacs with deep pockets.

Nah, I'm an anomaly really, mostly outraged indignation mixed with a heightened sense of apathy, better than the average un-informed, lowest common denominator Aussie though.
I USED to be a member of the Greens, campaigning, fund raising, scrutineering blah blah blah, back when I was young and impressionable but got completely turned off their core ideals once I grew up a bit, now hitting my mid 40's and all I want to do is outlaw the hippies and lock up the nazis, probably closest is Libertarian crossed Anarchist Lefty Green, somewhere over the rainbow.
