I'm actually living in Gwangju, about 3.5h south by bus, but the pictures are indeed from Seoul. And ajummas still wear the crazy visors and basically whatever the hell they want in the south, too, not to worry.

Thats cool. Gwangju is a good time. Busan is by far my favorite. If you get the chance, its worth the trip.

Lol well that's a completely different horse then. Yes, came over here to teach English, and honestly it's pretty fun and I'm enjoying myself and the weeks are flying by. Going to Seoul was fantastic, but my friends were fairly busy so I wasn't there for very long (just about 26 hours, really, and I only spent about 10 of them in the hostel, most of that asleep). Still, the food is great, the booze is extremely cheap, and by and large people have been really nice. I get a new co-worker soon, and she has my e-mail address but has yet to drop me a line... Ah well. Life is pretty fucking rad, all things considered, and I like to think I'm taking pretty good advantage of this whole "being young" thing.

That's actually laemyeon, which is a cold noodle dish. Pho is Vietnamese, though I did go to a place called Pho Bay last weekend.
