i'm baking bugs for a halloween party tonight! anyone here bake bugs before? how would you recommend serving them? dipping them in chocolate is my default. they need to be sweet, i'm already making bat wings as the savory!

that sounds delish! you should make strawberry or rasberry or whatever red jelly you have and put them in the jelly:p or deep fry them, cover in chocolate and sesame seeds. or in golden syrup?;pPPPppPPPppPPPp

The bugs were kind of an after thought, so i just stopped by a pet store for the bugs. I thought they may have been overpriced, at 3$ for 50 crickets (that's supposed to be 100 on the top sheet) and 3$ for so few grubs. You could probably order them online for less. The amount we had worked out just fine for the party though. I'd like to try putting the bugs in lollipops next time.
