Where the line is drawn jenner 1 year 34 weeks ago Beautiful.  I'm glad that someone else on the intertubes appreciates the sublime qualities of industry. :D
He claimed innocence. Others claimed him innocent. If that's all it took to be acquitted, the jails would be empty . Fuck him. theris 1 year 34 weeks ago I never wrote I condone death penalty. So don't assume. That makes an ass out of both u and me. You could also try to be less pretentious and more concise next time, so that your writing is more digestible.
I wait for a fresh one to be made every time I go to CiCi’s. Vile Calumny 1 year 34 weeks ago RI local pizza chain Ronzio's has this as a signature pizza; it has bacon as well.  Had a slice; it's OK taste-wise but not something I'd care to eat on a regular basis - way too starchy, and not actually as cheesy-tasting as one might hope.  One or two fresh slices on a cold day would be filling and warming.

He claimed innocence. Others claimed him innocent. If that's all it took to be acquitted, the jails would be empty . Fuck him. involuntary_emiction 1 year 34 weeks ago Fucko. If you're going to be strident, don't be stridently wrong. Burden of proof in a criminal case is beyond a reasonable doubt. Civil bop is preponderance of the evidence, in most US jurisdictions. It makes your specific argument stronger (which is fallacious to begin with), but no need to thank me.
What annoys me most is that both sides of the argument in this thread assume that it is permissible for the state to execute an individual convicted of a crime. This is a bold presumption, and one not held by any other G7 nation, apart from Japan. Japan has only used their laws to execute 2 people in 2010.
Killing someone is such a bold act, particularly in an ostensibly democratic state, that significant procedural safeguards to guarantee legitimacy. These safeguards are expensive; more expensive in fact, than simply locking up someone for the rest of their lives. Such expense should be justified by a proportional reduction in capital crimes. No such statistics exist. If there is no deterrent effect to be realized from a more expensive alternative, the only justification for the continuation of policy is society agreeing to place a high monetary value on the rather ephemeral benefit of revenge. The costs of continuation of this policy are compounded, both morally and fiscally, by the fact that errors in the process can, and do, exist. As a society, we have murdered innocent people, because we want to kill the guilty so very badly.
The state I live in has decided that these costs are not worth the benefit. I'm saddened that federal government, and 34 other states, have not made the same decision. I point these facts out not for your benefit, Tolland, as you are willfully and powerfully ignorant, and mistake vocal opposition to your unfortunate vitriol as proof that you have proclaimed some true but unpleasant fact, too painful and lofty for lesser intellects to ken. Rather, I point them out for those that rightly oppose your viewpoint, but have neglectfully allowed the argument to be framed in a manner that for the first time ever in a forum argument, actually begs the question of whether it is permissible for a society to kill its citizenry.
Whatever reptilian brain drives your little hate machine has already decided that fundamental question, I'll grant you. That fact alone is perhaps the strongest argument against the merits of continuing on this regrettable path.
TL;DR- You're wrong in the first place, wrong for a completely different and more fundamental reason, and it's because you're dumb, but mistakenly believe you're not.
