Fuck this guy was awesome. Picked him up at 12 weeks old about 18 years ago. He didnt give a shit who you were...asleep on your lap within 30 seconds of you sitting down. Sent him away with his favorite thing to chew today.

I know this isnt the usual SG cup o' tea, but ¡fuckbutter! this guy had some amazing technique(especially right hand, and not really showcased in this video). Cheesy guitar face aside, it is some amazing stuff. He is touring all over the US currently so go see him if you give a shit about this kind of stuff.

Tomorronow, who else would make a drum for Porkskins out of pork skin? "THE PORKSKINNER" has stood up to days of beating despite your warning to be gentle ;)  New strings for a guitar that has been waiting years for strings bought with love. A can of 1Shot fluorescent that I have been scared to buy\try to swirl with. If you have ANYTHING you want swirled/marbled let me know...I will do my best :) Thank you very much Tomorronow!

 

This was another experiment with techniques, firing times etc. There was never really a plan for the final product, but I knew I wanted to jumble opposites of the color wheel in a high fire, cut everything up and reassemble with primary color divisions. It turned out much oranger than expected, but I learned a lot so who cares....someone in my family will get a hideous 30 pound glass clock for xmas :P I forgot to take pics at certain stages, but you get the point. Ugg cant wait to get this thing out of my house.

We start with a lesson on why you should use tools and not fingers:

It has been a couple weeks so I figured it's time again.

I know my stuff is kindergarten amatuer compared to my fusing heroes like Moje etc, but I would like to share and hear constructive input regarding style and especially technique!

So I started with a full sheet of  Bullseye 003126 swirly and 001114 deep royal blue. Everything was hand scored, cut, ground and polished. I didnt plan the project properly and I had to fire it twice more than I wanted to before slumping. There was a little devit, but nothing that really stands out.

 

 

 

Anyone else have a love for these? Stocked up a decade ago and now Im on my last one.

They had just put this on the shelf at thriftown so Im guessing someone donated it right around 9/11. The wife and I are fans of puzzles but have never done one of these. Looks like I will need a bigger table. The table is 8.5'x4' for reference...this puzzle is huge!

Has anyone finished one, and if so any advice? Looks like it will be fun.
