We are broadcasting live from the Beauty Bar in NYC.

This Monday (4/15), we are shooting what I hope is the last bit of my puppet musical.  It's a musical comedy about a pedophile named Larry trying to escape societal oppression by fleeing to Thailand; you may have seen us filming the last bit because we frigging live streamed that fucker here on SG. In this scene, Larry has wandered into a bar only to find the entire clientele addicted to an experimental drug. Hilarity, self-mutilation, and a big West Side Story-styled dance number ensues.
If you are in New York, I humbly invite you to come to the Beauty Bar (231 East 14th Street) if you'd like to stick your hand up a puppet's ass.  We have a few shots with big crowds that we'd love as many people puppeteering as possible. We'll be shooting them around 7pm, so if you can stop by the Beauty Bar in the East Village after work we'd love to have you!
Don't worry if you've never puppeteered before, it's just some simple stuff we need for background crowd scenes.

Anyway, what we're shooting on Monday is the second of four scenes. You can check out the third scene, which we edited enough to submit to festivals, in the YouTube embedded.

OUR STORY THUS FAR: Larry the pedophile has decided to flee societal oppression and move to Thailand where he can freely be a sexual predator. However, while running from the cops once again, he stumbles up a group of bagmen who are all addicted to an experimental drug called Shreddies, and Maurice the bounty hunter who has been hired to kill the makers of the drug. For not only is Shreddies addictive and making the bagmen eviscerate themselves, but the monsters who make it are using the bagmen as test subjects for terrible experiments. Larry, meanwhile, takes some Shreddies hoping that it'll make things seem less worse. But he has a bad reaction and trips out.  As the trip peaks, two hairy shadowy figures appear, knock Larry out, stuff him into a bag, and drag him away.  And scene 3 begins...

Dear Space Ghetto,

I am shooting the next bit of my puppet musical, "Welcome to Brownsville," this weekend at my house in Philadelphia.  We could use some extra hands up puppet asses.  If you're available Sunday afternoon, we would be eternally grateful if you'd come help us out.

The story is about a pedophile who is try to flee societal oppression by going to Thailand, but along the way he gets tangled up in a drug/surgery ring.  It's formatted as a half-hour television show (22 mins), every few minuets they break into song, and the humor is along the lines of South Park and It's Always Sunny in that every character is a horrible person, yet they are unaware of how horrible they are.

We've shot about half of it and even livestreamed the first round here on SG.  This weekend we aim to get the prison break scene done and we need more hands.

Here's some screenshots of the third act, in which the pedophile has been captured by the scientist monsters who make the drug the homeless people are addicted to. The pedo reacts badly to their drug and they are excited to experiment on him.  But as they close in to cut open his head, the bounty hunter who has been tracking the scientists barges in and shoots up the place, all in the name of Jesus.
